Assignment 7 - Animation

I believe it falls under "Spiritual". I really like the reflection and I tried to make the orbits of the shapes like centering around a solid center and it all to look like snow.

This artwork is done by one of my first friends when I joined Deviantart. Although what she puts in her Gallery is mostly anime related, she is amazing at traditional work too. But my personal tastes lean more towards her anime. I especially love her crisp lines and how handsome her boy characters look. XD The small chibi picture was what she sent me for my birthday. ;) My character is the one who's holding his weapon like he's playing guitar hero.

Weekly Blog - Week of Nov9 - ArtnotHearts

This guy i recently discovered on the gaming forums I usually go to. He goes by the name of Ethns and his art is done in Photoshop. I actually got to watch him work via webcam a few days ago and it was very interesting watching him zoom in so super close to get the smallest of small details and then zoom out and it just makes the picture brighten up. I really would love to watch him draw again. Possibly from scratch to finish. But of course that would take forever. XD

Weekly Blog - Week of Nov1 - Xbox 360 Persona

So I thought this might be a fun little image to share. On Deviantart this guy gave quick headshot personas of the Xbox360 and PS3. Apparently he decided to go ahead and give them badass looking outfits. To which my favorite so far is the Xbox360 and not because I own one or that it's green (which is my favorite color) but I would have to say I like the outfit. Even though it is incredibly simple, it's got both that cute and badass charm to it. He also has done the Wii console but I still like this one better. XD

So I bet you guys are thinking "....what? It's just the start of November..." and yes it totally is but I felt inspired to do something like a collaboration with my friend of our Christmas girl characters holding little dolls of their boyfriends and acting cute. And I hopefully will have time to combine it into one card and send it around to family and friends.

Weekly Blog - Week of Nov1 - Gaia Halloween Town

So i noticed this in the background of the Gaiaonline website I go to occasionally to check up on friends and it is to celebrate Halloween and some event that they are having. It turns out that this was done by the same person who did the shooting star meteor tree thing. The colors are dark but they have a little bit of fun in them. I have to say that I am TERRIBLE at backgrounds and whatnot and I pray that maybe one day I can do something like this. XD

Recently I discovered this artist on Deviantart who does these amazing pieces. I'm not really sure what he uses and I haven't asked but I like the 3d ideas. His most recent if the music one (which is now my happy wallpaper). And the previous one was the card maker. I really like the white and the bright colors he uses which makes it soft and appealing to the eye. I'm just really in love with the music one because it's really taking something that is 2D and pulling it off paper to make it look 3D.

Weekly Blog - Week of Oct26 - Age Meme

I've been seeing these age memes around Deviantart which the artists picks a character and draws them at certain ages of their lives. I find this a good character development technique as well as a fun activity because you really get to understand the character inside and out and throughout their lives. I plan to try and do this for one of my characters and hopefully I'll have some sketches up later. These were done by Endling and Zombiesmile from Deviantart.

Weekly Blog - Week of Oct19 - Yaichino

This is an artist by the name of Yaichino that I recently found. What attracts me to their art is how smooth the lines are. Especially the skin on the face and folds in the clothes. This was the first piece I found which is what got me looking into their gallery. I also like the background looking genuinely like bricks. Although obviously I think the graffiti is sort of out of place. If that's supposed to be an evil sort of pikachu or something.

This is a cute little short comic that an artist I watch on Deviantart submitted. It's still digital but it has that traditional material feel to it. Most of the work this artist has involves magic mixing with innocent children. Even though this comic does not have any words, it's still cute and touching that a falling star actually grew into an oversized nightlight for the child. So I recently discovered this artist thanks to my friend, literally the night before. This artist had done concept art for S4 League (along with Panaman) and so much more. I really love his website and how neat and laid out it is. I also am super impressed with his videos that he made for another game called DJMAX. (Which looks like a weirdo version of DDR to me). So I found this picture recently on my scavengers across Deviantart. It's another representation of the zodiac symbol scoprio. But besides the colors, I especially like how it represents the sign but it doesn't go over the board with merging the character with animal type body parts. What draws me to it especially is how they did the scorpion tail with cloth. I thought that was brilliant. XD

Weekly Blog - Week of Oct05 - Endling

Another artist on Snafu goes by the name of Endling. He does absolutely amazing comics and I really want to be able to try and pull it off one day. His backgrounds and dynamic feelings in each comic. His most known character here in the comic is known as Red (aka Little Red Riding Hood) Except this is a more psychotic version. Red is haunted by the black wolf which basically killed her grandmother and is the reason why she is in a crazy wonderland type of asylum with other fairy tales such as Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Jack and Jill, etc etc. I believe the comic story is called Ever After. Unfortunately it is on a hiatus but I do encourage others to read it and take a look. It's pretty intense. Other than that, Endling has amazing character designs, which I believe the ones I remember as of late are his interpretations of the 7 Deadly sins. Weekly Blog - Week of Oct05 - Bleedman

Bleedman is one of the popular artists on a website called Snafu-comics. His popularity began with making a comic that combined old cartoonnetwork cartoons such as the powerpuff girls, Dexter's laboratory, and Samurai Jack. It soon grew that he began to include a few nickalodeon cartoons. His style is very unique but mostly leans towards his interpretation of the powerpuff girls but from seeing his designs to the left, he can do much more. I really love reading his comics.

Weekly Blog - Week of Oct05 - Sketch

First of all, just to clarify, i do more sketches on the computer to upload than sketches on paper because my scanner is terrible. It drives me nuts when it suddenly decides to cut off half of my picture and it isn't even good enough to work with.

Anyhoo, this is a sketch of a character of mine called Xeshn with his love Xenna. Tho he hasn't told her yet they're such a cute couple. Xenna actually belongs to a friend of mine. But I love them none the less. When i finish this, it'll be the first piece I've done colored of these two.

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept28 - Jubilations

At first I actually thought this artist was imagec0rrupt3d but after awhile i realized that they were two different and yet popular people. Jubilations (I'm not sure what her real name is) was also a part of Org-Infinity and got the ball rolling for the club to be popular. But now she has also left the club. However I still keep a tab on her art because I find her style very expressive and especially with her character Dezzi (the one in the middle with the black/white attire going on). He has the over the top expressions and yet it works for him nad it's never too much. I'm not sure what her goals are but I do enjoy reading her short comics and her expressive hilarious characters.

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept28 - imageC0rrupt3d

So this artist goes by the name of ImageC0rrupt3d but I think her real name is Sela or something along those lines. Well her style really balances on her own as well as the Disney style. She does amazing disney characters and I believe she hopes to work for them. I was able to meet her at a convention at one point but I'll admit that I was too nervous to really stay there and chat with her for long. XD I think what I like the most about her work are the expressions her characters have. They're over the top but not too over the top that it gives it that awkward position where you're like "Wtf am I looking at?" Her most popular character is Sexla which is her alter ego in the game of Kingdom Hearts. This character I would presume is what got the popular club org-infinity rolling but now they've basically just shut down. :[ Nevertheless she is still around at a new club based on the kingdom hearts game.
