Weekly Blog - Week of Sept28 - Jubilations

At first I actually thought this artist was imagec0rrupt3d but after awhile i realized that they were two different and yet popular people. Jubilations (I'm not sure what her real name is) was also a part of Org-Infinity and got the ball rolling for the club to be popular. But now she has also left the club. However I still keep a tab on her art because I find her style very expressive and especially with her character Dezzi (the one in the middle with the black/white attire going on). He has the over the top expressions and yet it works for him nad it's never too much. I'm not sure what her goals are but I do enjoy reading her short comics and her expressive hilarious characters.

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept28 - imageC0rrupt3d

So this artist goes by the name of ImageC0rrupt3d but I think her real name is Sela or something along those lines. Well her style really balances on her own as well as the Disney style. She does amazing disney characters and I believe she hopes to work for them. I was able to meet her at a convention at one point but I'll admit that I was too nervous to really stay there and chat with her for long. XD I think what I like the most about her work are the expressions her characters have. They're over the top but not too over the top that it gives it that awkward position where you're like "Wtf am I looking at?" Her most popular character is Sexla which is her alter ego in the game of Kingdom Hearts. This character I would presume is what got the popular club org-infinity rolling but now they've basically just shut down. :[ Nevertheless she is still around at a new club based on the kingdom hearts game.

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept28 - Sketch

This is a sketch inspired by a story that me and a good close friend of mine are writing. It seems cliche that it's about a vampire boy and human girl but this was waaaaaaaay before those gawd damn stupid Twilight books came out (gets killed by fangirls). But I'm going to continue anyways. This was a scene where the two were at a ball celebrating the boy's success in his leadership of organizing an event previous. Hope you like it.

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept21 - Nitarou

So on my earlier post for Zeiva.net's website. I know them by their group name but I believe it says on their website that they are "Mirage and Nitarou". Before I spoke about Zeiva and Zeiva is Mirage. So now I would like to talk about Nitarou.
I've spoken with Nitarou more than Mirage (mostly because Nitarou has better english). She is very nice and I felt so honored when she remembered me after I didn't see her for an entire year. While Mirage's art are more lineart first then go in with color, Nitarou seems to have a more softer painting style which makes the art really flow yet give a calming graceful feel to it. Her works are mostly magical fantasy and her characters are so cute and beautiful. Can you believe she can make something as beautiful as these within an hour time limit?

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept21 - Zeiva

Zeiva is another artist that I admire. Her and her partner have made a few flash games but their art is what really captures my attention. Especially Zeiva. She puts so much detail into her artwork and yet it isn't completely too much because it all ties it together. She has done series for calanders to which she based them on stories of the cycle of stars and to her recent work which is the birthstones of the months. I have had the honor of meeting Zeiva and her partner and they are really nice to talk to. When they do commissions for you, they still make it look beautiful. I believe I've bought more of Zeiva's prints than her partner's but I love them both. (I get even more excited when I see them again and they remember me XD)
Their website is http://www.zeiva.net/

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept21 - Sketch

First off this sketch was for a friend. She wanted me to draw one of the popular Vocaloids (from the japanese music making program). This guy probably had the most girly design ever and his shirt was annoying but I finished it and she was very happy with it.

This next one was a test of the Nomura style. One of my friends on Deviantart by the name of V-lock is able to do the Nomura style as her normal style and she makes it look so easy. She encouraged me to try it and this is what I came up with. It isn't finished and V-lock said the eyes need to be a little bigger but I can't wait to be done. This style is so hard to do. Especially all the details of the eyes.

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept14 - illbewaiting

These pieces were done by another artist on Deviantart by the username of "Illbewaiting". Her main tools are PaintToolSAI (which she favors) and Photoshop 7. I really study her work but it's hard to figure out what she did. Her style has a certain "glow" to it. Especially her colored pieces but even her inked pieces have that shine. She has done a tutorial of one of her pieces and yet I was not really able to follow what she did. However I realized that her glow is somewhat thanks to the "Hard Light" layering in PaintToolSAI/Photoshop. I used to use that but sometimes to me it comes out too dark or the colors between the base and shadow colors disappear or become too blurry. I still find it amazing how she is able to use it.

Here is her Deviantart site: http://illbewaiting.deviantart.com/

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept14 - Noiry

So another artist of late that I admire from Deviantart is "Noiry". She mostly uses Painter but now she is beginning to use PaintToolSAI (which is an awesome program by the way). Her style leans toward more realistic looking characters but still hold onto the anime look. Her two most popular characters are Will (blonde) and Sven (Blue and Brown). They are what she does on the side to relax and practice positions and texture designs. I'm really happy when I get to talk to her about her characters and I hope to maybe one day do a collaboration with her. XD Tho my skills are really no where near hers. ^^;

Her website is under construction but here is her deviantart gallery : http://noiry.deviantart.com/

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept14 - Sketch

So my friend has been working on an idea for a story that combines two different universes : Dragons and Steampunk. To which i wanted to help her cause the idea sounds pretty kickass. So this is going to be the prince of the dragons in human form. I picture him as a little stuck up brat who orders people around. But he's still cute. C:

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept08 - enduro

Ok so I think enduro is my most inspiring artist. Her style is so unique and her coloring is amazing. I really love her work and I never get tired of looking through her gallery again. Her comic Metal Wing is very popular (even though she says it's not) and unfortunately it's on a hiatus. But I believe that I like most about her work is her complex clothing designs. Some may be simple, but then she adds patterns onto it which makes it twice as creative.

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept08 - aDarkerAngel

So here's another artist that I really admire. His username is aDarkerAngel and he does amazing pieces. They're detailed and I like how most of his coloring is dark. Although I have to admit that I am in love with his mysterious characters. I've actually met aDarkerAngel in real life and had the honor of going through his sketchbook AND OH MY GAWD IT'S SO CLEAN AND DETAILED!!! You have no idea how jealous that makes me with scribbles and whatnot. His art is very inspiring to me.

This is his deviantart gallery : http://adarkerangel.deviantart.com/

Weekly Blog - Week of Sept08 - Sketch

So here's a sketch I did for a friend because I opened up 10 Free Sketches on my art website. Her character was a persona version of herself. I usually do my sketches in red when I work in PaintToolSAI so I hope it doesn't burn your eyes. The character's hair was much longer and her scythe more detailed but I didn't want to go into so much depth. I also think I made her look a little older than she is supposed to look.

Weekly Blog - Week of 31st : Wen-M

This guy is an amazing artist. I had the pleasure of meeting him this year at Anime Expo in California. Though I didn't get to talk to him alot but I did get a commission from him so I could better study his work. His work is so incredibly detailed and the lines are so precise. This is one of his pieces that I really love. The Orange to purple coloring is really eye catching and just the details are always what gets me. It's like he was trying to combine realism and anime. This is what I aim to try do with more of my works. Though there is always the problem of there being too much detail which I have to watch out for. Hope you like this anyways as much as I do. Credit to Wen-M from deviantart.

His gallery is here : http://wen-m.deviantart.com/

Weekly Blog - Week of 31st : Panaman

So I first discovered this artist when I played S4League which is an MMO first person shooter game. The art here is I guess what I would call "glass-like". I'm not entirely sure how it's done and I would actually ask him what program he uses buuuuuuut he's Korean. XD So I will keep trying to experiment to try and get the same feel. His work for S4League was easy to find on the official website but his original works were harder since he's only registered in the Korean google search engine. To which I end with his website URL : http://panamaman.byus.net/wp/
This style is really one that I would love to learn since it's so different than any others I have seen.

Weekly Blog - Week of 31st : Sketch

2nd Sketch to which I'm obviously following what I did before. This is my main character which is like a persona of myself. Her name is Maki. Again I wanted to try and do it as detailed as possible and since her element is wind I was attempting to use that. I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to posts the finished pieces of these but I guess it could count but it'll take awhile awhile. :\ Hope you like it. XD I did this in a regular sketch book instead of SAI.
